There is a special place in Heaven for attorney Jacob Smets. I called him after my boyfriend was arrested and his mother and I were trying to figure out our next steps. I probably talked to at least 20 different people that day alone to try and untangle the mess my boyfriend was caught in, including several other attorneys. Jacob was the only one to take the time to hear me out and help me understand what was going on as well as what could be done about it. He was the only one who didn't make me feel dismissed or stupid or like I was hitting a dead end. He gave us hope. I am endlessly thankful for the help and patience Jacob has so graciously extended to us and it will never be forgotten.
